Why Journey To DDS?
Flashback to the October of 2011, soon after my graduation as a dentist in Vietnam, I was chasing a difficult dream in becoming a dentist in the U.S. My English was not good and I did not know where to start with the NBDEs, application, programs, etc. Even though I've read a lot and searched through a lot, there was still so much confusion with the whole process.
However, I was lucky enough to have a helping hand from my family's close friend - who had already been accepted in a U.S. dental school. She was, is and will always be my inspiration and my mentor. Following in her footsteps, I've always wanted to do something to "pay it forward". So here it is, "DDS Journey" is my blog in both Vietnamese and English to give away all of the information I've got so far of how an international dentist can practice in the States. My hope is to alleviate any confusion anyone has in the process of becoming a dentist in the U.S. If I can help even just one person, I have reached my goal.

My name is Hannah N Doan and I am living my dream.
I graduated with DDS degree back in 2011 in my home country - Vietnam, fulfilled my dream to be a doctor following my parents' footstep. However I had a bigger dream to practice as a dentist in the United States. I graduated with my 2nd DDS degree from UCDenver in Dec 2018. That was the proudest moment! The journey was long and difficult but rewarding. The information I share here is no secret to overnight success but a bridge hopefully to clear up your confusion and shorten your journey. Information is GOLD! I did it and so will you!
